17 - 19 September 2008
Presented by Trestle in collaboration with Increpación Danza
Lola Montez, the infamous 19th century Spanish dancer, stormed her way through life on a tumultuous journey of seduction, sorrow and success.
In Trestle’s new production, Lola prepares for the very last performance of her life, revisiting her bittersweet past, from humble Irish beginnings to becoming one of the world’s most notorious women.
Told through the wit and passion of Lola’s own words, with live music from renowned flamenco guitarist Ricardo Garcia, the show celebrates the life of an extraordinary woman who lived like she danced, with all the might of her body and the fire of her soul.
