Summary of Covid 19 specific Policies for Trestle M-ask Wellbeing Programme
Trestle Theatre Company will be adhering to the most up to date government guidelines and will inform our families of any relevant changes as soon as possible.
The capacity of the workshops will be capped at 7 students with 1 instructor and 1 counsellor to allow for social distancing in the space.
Temperature will be checked on arrival with no access if above 38C.
Activity will take place outside where possible.
Parents will be required to sign a waiver prior to arrival to certify the following
a. There have been no symptoms in the household for 14 days
b. If symptoms arise during the week, they will self-isolate and notify Trestle immediately.
c. If symptoms arise during a project day, they or a designated person will be available to collect the child ASAP.
d. If symptoms arise during a project day a test will be taken and results will be reported back to Trestle.
e. If symptoms arise within 14 days after attending the project they will inform Trestle immediately.
Please note that this data is only to be collected for compliance with the national test and trace initiative.
5. Increased cleaning of the venues will take place.
6. Care will be taken to socially distance at all times.
7. There will be social distancing during drop off and pickup with no parent entry to the venue to decrease risk.
We’re putting procedures in place to minimise the risk of:
Spread of Infection from child to child
Spread of infection from parent to parent
Spread of infection from child to parent/instructor
Virus spread via surface contact
Development of symptoms
Precautions we’re taking:
Surface clean of the venue spaces at the beginning and end of every day.
Frequent Hand washing and hand sanitising to be implemented.
Suitable soap and paper towels will be available.
Hand sanitiser will be made available.
Instructors will check stock daily.
PPE (Gloves) will be required for dealing with first aid issues.
Staff will wear visors
All participants over the age of 11 will be asked to wear a mask where possible.
DISTANCING MEASURES AT PICK UP AND DROP OFF
2m social distancing will be observed at pick up and drop off.
Parents will not be permitted to enter the building and are required to abide by markings at the building.
Attendees will be temperature checked with a no contact thermometer at the door.
Attendees will be required to wash their hands on entrance to the venue
Lunch bags and other possessions will be the children’s responsibility and must be labelled accordingly.
Children will wash their hands prior to leaving the venue
DISTANCING MEASURES DURING ACTIVITY
We will endeavour to keep 1m between all staff and children at all times.
All equipment will be restricted to one attendee and tables and chairs will be set up for adequate distancing.
1m social distancing will be observed during breaks and lunch.
Sharing of food items / water bottles will not be permitted.
ACTIVE RESPONSE (IF SYMPTOMS ARE SHOWN)
A designated space for anyone showing symptoms will be set where staff can still safely supervise.
Parent or carer will be contacted for immediate collection. Advice will be given to follow test and trace and self-isolation guidance.
Parent / carer will be asked to provide test results as soon as possible
Following collection the area will be disinfected
The instructor will be told to deep clean their person, hand washing, change of clothes and incident will be logged as soon as possible. All families will be notified.
CANCELLATION
If someone receives a positive test result during the week the project will be cancelled.
The following restrictions will be in place to keep everyone safe:
We reserve the right to restrict access to anyone showing symptoms
We reserve the right to ask a child to be picked up early if they develop symptoms
Should your child develop symptoms during a M-ask session or 14 days after you agree to obtain a test and let us know immediately.
A minimum of 14 days symptom free will need to be agreed to attend any session.

We would like to be clear that our temperature checks are not a medical diagnosis, only a preventative measure and further medical guidance should be sought if you or your family are displaying symptoms.
