Trestle, throughout its history, has collaborated with numerous individuals and companies. We take pride in building strong and generous creative relationships with our partners on local and international levels.

Working in partnership is vital to the ongoing success of Trestle and we welcome conversations about potential collaborations. These may be based on practical needs, such as space sharing, or creative potential, such as a project with a particular community group or with a specific art form.

Trestle Resident Artist

Trestle Theatre proudly continues its tradition of welcoming resident artists and companies to the Trestle Arts Base in St Albans. This annual residency program enhances our educational and outreach initiatives while fostering the development of artistic talent. Following the successful residencies of Divya Kasturi Dance (2022-23) and Jenny Ayres (2023-24), we are delighted to announce Make It Beautiful Theatre Company as our resident artists for 2025-26.

About Make It Beautiful

Make It Beautiful are a London based Theatre Company derived from the Drama Centre. They are dedicated to magical storytelling, long-form improvisation, comedy & unearthing the beautiful. For the past four years, they’ve been committed to telling and creating stories for UK and European stages, as well as sharing their ethos through workshops. Notable works include: The CO-OP (Park Theatre, English Theatre of Hamburg), The Nag’s Head (Park Theatre), The Dream Machine (in residency at the Hope Theatre), Our Little Life (Blackbox Studio Slovenia). Their 5-star show Sniff - which performed at the Park Theatre in 2024 - will be touring Hertfordshire and surrounding areas this year.
