Out of Sight Out of Mind?

2009

Out of Sight Out of Mind? was a promenade production at Trestle Arts Base examining the history and heritage of Hill End Hospital.

The play was created and performed by members of Trestle’s Youth and People’s Company, alongside professional actors, writers, designers, and directors.

The piece took you on a journey through the buildings, along the corridors and into the minds of the patients and staff who lived and worked at the hospital over a 100-year period. From the hospital’s inception as a mental health facility, through its remarkable history during World War II, and its final controversial closure in the 1990s.
